Burj Khalifa is recorded as the world’s tallest building. Not just that, it has also broken two impressive records of being the tallest structure as well as the tallest free-standing structure in the world. Soaring at a height of 829.8 metres, it is a 164-storey skyscraper. It comprises of a thousand metres of business space, a 304-room Armani Hotel and a residential complex with 900 private residences. The design of the building is inspired by spider lily and is definitely an engineering marvel. The common areas of Burj Khalifa have distinct signified fragrances that offer a subtly different experience.

The entry of Burj Khalifa is from Dubai Mall. You are greeted by a fiberglass figure of the tower in the lobby area and a long queue for entry tickets. As you move through the corridors of the building, you get to know the in-depth history of Burj Khalifa and what it takes to build a grand structure like this. There are two observation decks – At the Top on 124th floor and At the TopSky on 148th floor. You will be escorted to the world’s fastest elevator to reach these decks. It moves at a speed of 10 metres per second and takes approximately a minute to reach the 124th floor. You may experience a couple of ear pops though. The spiral staircase then takes you to the entry of At the Top observation deck.

At the Top Burj Khalifa offers stunning panoramic views of the city. From that height, everything looks so minute and covered with a thick brown haze. The views are simply breathtaking. You can see the golden sands of the desert dotted with green landscape patches and blue pools of water creating a heady play of colours. The old buildings and the desert lie in juxtaposition with the modern skyscrapers. The sunrise view from Burj Khalifa is a sight to behold. Watching the sun peep out from the horizon and touching everything with its golden hues is an incredible experience. The observation deck also offers great views of the Dubai fountain show.

Get your favourite views and pictures clicked and shop from an array of souvenirs. You can also dine at the ‘At.mosphere’. Located on the 122nd floor of the building, it is the world’s highest restaurant offering great food and spectacular views.

The awe inspiring experience of At the Top Burj Khalifa is something you would not want to miss in Dubai. The building is open the entire day. It is advisable to book your tickets in advance to avoid wasting time in queues. 

How to Reach Burj Khalifa

You can reach Burj Khalifa via metro or taxi. It is approximately 1.3 kilometres from Dubai Mall metro station.
